Declaration of the Restitution Africa collective on the socio-political situation in Togo

The Africa Restitution Collective is following with deep concern and strong outrage the current evolution of the socio-political situation in Togo.

In accordance with its mission and vision, the Collective reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the fundamental principles of freedom of expression, institutional transparency and good governance in the management of public affairs.

Faced with growing tensions, the Collective calls for the responsibility of all political and institutional actors. He urges them to engage in sincere dialogue and to show mutual concessions in the sole interest of the Togolese nation. The protection of civilian populations, respect for human rights, and the preservation of social and economic achievements must remain top priorities.

No return, whether it concerns plundered rights or unjustly acquired assets, can take place in a climate of fear, intimidation or violence.

It is in a peaceful environment, based on justice, human dignity and mutual respect, that each citizen will be able to contribute fully to the building of a great and proud Togolese Nation.
